Project

The urban tissue requires an outstanding building with a clearly recognizable image from the river Besos and the city entrance.
A high building generates chaos so far as passage is concerned, something which must be avoided by creating an extremely clear functional scheme. We suggest placing all the visitation rooms in the same floor. The judicial offices are layed out in the remaining floors.
The corridors for the public's passage have constant exterior spatial references that guide the public inside the building.
It is decided to set the south façade back in order to avoid the shadow casted by the building next door and improve the energy capture. Some orientable sheets made of photovoltaic cells rotate automatically in relation to the sun.
